Competition rules
The Court Draw
Last updated: September 2026. These rules govern the monthly Haus of Dutchess print draw (“the Draw”) and are published in terms of section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
The promoter
The Draw is run by Haus of Dutchess, Johannesburg, South Africa (“the Haus”). Contact: admin@hausofdutchess.com.
How to enter
- Entry is free. No purchase is required, and buying anything from the Haus does not improve your chances.
- To enter, join the Court by submitting your email address through any signup form on hausofdutchess.com, or through a Haus of Dutchess advertisement on Facebook or Instagram.
- One entry per person per monthly draw. Members of the Court remain entered in every subsequent monthly draw for as long as they stay subscribed.
- Entrants must be 18 years or older and resident in South Africa.
- Employees of the Haus and their immediate families may not enter.
The prize
- One winner is drawn each calendar month and receives one signed, numbered limited-edition giclée print by The Dutchess, in A1 size (59.4 × 84.1 cm), printed on 310gsm archival cotton rag and issued with a Certificate of Authenticity.
- The prize is a fine-art print of an original painting. It is not the original canvas.
- The specific work is chosen by the Haus. The prize is supplied unframed.
- Retail value: R4,950. A1 prints are released in editions of five.
- Delivery within South Africa is free and arranged by the Haus. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.
The draw
- The Draw takes place within the first five business days of each month, for the month preceding it.
- The winner is selected at random from all valid entries, by an independent randomising method.
- The winner is notified by email within seven days of the draw and announced to the Court by first name and city only.
- If a winner does not respond within fourteen days of notification, the Haus may draw a replacement winner.
Your information
Entering means you join the Court, the Haus of Dutchess mailing list, and consent to receiving email about new works, print releases and events. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and unsubscribing removes you from future draws. Your information is processed in line with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act. We do not sell or share your details.
General
- The Haus may amend these rules or end the Draw at any time. Any change is published on this page.
- The decision of the Haus on all matters relating to the Draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
